Big turnout when JYSK opened in Belgium
The turnout was big, when founder and owner of JYSK, Lars Larsen, opened the retailers first store in Belgium.
“I have been looking forward to opening the first store in Belgium, and I hope that you will like JYSK.”
The words came from Lars Larsen, as he opened the first JYSK store in Belgium.
The opening took place in the town of Schoten near Antwerpen, and judging from the long line of people waiting outside the store before the opening, there was a lot of interest to find out what JYSK has to offer.
“I am very satisfied with the great turnout. It proves the great potential of JYSK here in Belgium,” said Lars Larsen.
Room for 50 stores
With the opening in Belgium, there are now JYSK stores in 48 countries around the world, an no European consumers have to drive far to visit the nearest JYSK store.
“The opening in Belgium is a milestone because it means that there are now JYSK stores in almost every European country. However, the goal is to establish JYSK stores all over the world, so there is still a lot of work to do,” said Lars Larsen after opening the store in Schoten.
In addition to the store in Schoten, JYSK also opened store number two in the city og Genk, and Lars Larsen expects to open approximately 50 stores in Belgium in the years to come.
