In 2017, Lars Larsen is decorated as Knight 1st Class of the Order of Dannebrog.

Congratulations to Her Majesty
In April 2015, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II celebrated her 75th birthday. It was an occasion that was naturally celebrated in the proper manner: Lars Larsen and his wife were among the select group given the opportunity to say congratulations to Her Majesty at a grand birthday event in Aarhus, Denmark.

By Appointment to The Royal Danish Court
From 2010 to 2025, JYSK was “Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court” and could use the designation By Appointment to The Royal Danish Court. It was a title only granted to companies or individuals who have supplied The Royal Danish Court for several years, are well-established, financially sound and have an excellent reputation. In 2025, the new royal couple in Denmark decided to phase out this title in general.

Knight of the Order of Dannebrog
In 2009, Lars Larsen is decorated as Knight of the Order of Dannebrog for his outstanding contribution to the Danish business community.

Queen Margrethe II visits JYSK's new warehouse
In 2008, Queen Margrethe II visited JYSK's new distribution centre in Uldum near Horsens as part of the royal summer cruise. Lars Larsen presented the Queen with two exclusive eiderdown duvets and a copy of his autobiography after which Lars Larsen visited the Royal Yacht Dannebrog accompanied by his wife.

Crown Prince Frederik visits Scancom
In 2008, Crown Prince Frederik (now King Frederik X) visited JYSK founder Lars Larsen's furniture factory in Vietnam.
King Frederik IX's Honorary Award
In 2007, on behalf of JYSK and its large number of employees, Lars Larsen receives King Frederik IX's Honorary Award, which is presented in recognition of a valuable contribution to Danish export.
